Privacy policy

This policy explains what UI Design Course ("we", "us") collects when you visit uidesigncourse.com or use the course at app.uidesigncourse.com, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect the minimum we need to sell you the course, sign you in, and understand how the site is used — and we never sell your data.

What we collect

  • Purchase details. When you buy the course, our checkout (powered by Shopify) collects your name, email address, and payment information. We never see or store your full card details — payment is handled entirely by Shopify and its payment processors.
  • Account details. Your email address is used to create your member account and send you sign-in links. We use passwordless login, so we never store a password for you.
  • Emails you request. If you sign up for a free preview or make a purchase, we send you transactional emails and store your email address with our email provider.
  • Usage data. We use analytics to understand how the site and course are used — pages visited, lessons read, general location (country/city level), device and browser type. Signed-in members' course progress is linked to their account so the course can remember where they left off.

Analytics and advertising tools we use

  • PostHog — product analytics, so we can see which lessons and features are useful.
  • Meta Pixel — measures whether our ads on Facebook and Instagram work. Meta may use cookies and receive standard event data (like page views) as described in Meta's privacy policy.

What we use it for

  • Delivering the course and keeping you signed in
  • Sending sign-in links, receipts, and emails you've asked for
  • Customer support and refunds
  • Understanding what to improve, and measuring our advertising

What we don't do

  • We don't sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
  • We don't send marketing email you didn't sign up for, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies: one to keep members signed in, and analytics/advertising cookies from the tools above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the course login requires cookies to work.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to stop emailing you. Contact us through the contact page and we'll take care of it. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA), you may have additional statutory rights — we honor these requests regardless of where you're located.

Data retention

We keep your account and purchase records for as long as you have access to the course (it's lifetime access, so that's indefinitely unless you ask us to delete your account). Analytics data is retained per each provider's standard retention settings.

Children

The course is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
